i-Transport provides advice on a range of mixed use developments. Inputs include transport assessments, feasibility studies, access studies, parking studies and travel plans. Example Project Quintain Estates – New Wembley Client’s representative role overseeing road, rail, underground and bus impact assessments for a 42 acre (17 hectare) mixed use scheme around and to the north of the National Stadium at Wembley. The land uses comprise over 3,000 dwellings; leisure and cinema uses; local shops, sports retailing and designer outlets; cafés, bars and restaurants; employment; and community facilities.

Residential

i-Transport advises on a variety of schemes from large scale residential developments to single dwelling schemes. Our involvement ranges from the production of transport assessments to advice and professional evidence in support of proposed access arrangements. We also prepare Travel Plans for residential developments. Employment

i-Transport acts on employment schemes including offices, business parks, general industrial and warehousing. Our clients often require us to produce transport assessments and prepare travel plans either to accompany planning applications or to resolve certain transport problems. We also prepare travel plans for clients as part of their corporate environmental policy. Retail and town centres

i-Transport advises on food and non food retail schemes located in town centre and out of centre locations. Each project has different transport issues, including car parking provision for the scheme and the town as a whole, accessibility by non car modes in conjunction with the catchment area and scheme design input (for example car park design and servicing requirements). Sports and leisure uses

i-Transport advises on the transport implications of leisure developments. These can comprise sports stadia, which demand the management of a large number of people by a variety of travel modes in a short period of time, to multi purpose sports centres that operate all day. Education and health uses

i-Transport provides transport and highways advice on proposals for schools and colleges as well as hospitals, clinics and doctors surgeries. Our input includes undertaking transport assessments for any new planning applications to preparing school travel plans and safer routes to school projects. Urban Regeneration

i-Transport provides transport advice for a range of comprehensive urban regeneration schemes across the UK at all stages of the planning process. Our input ranges from access feasibility studies through to the development of transport and access strategies and undertaking multi modal transport assessments. We also provide transport input to environmental assessments. Strategic Development

i-Transport provides transport advice for strategic development proposals, including representations on transport related matters to regional planning documents on behalf of clients and the promotion of sites through the Local Development Framework process. We also provide transport input to the development of masterplans and develop comprehensive multi-modal transport strategies to enhance accessibility and to mitigate the impact of strategic development on existing transport networks. Hotels

i-Transport provides advice on transport issues associated with hotels. These have comprised hotels located in large urban centres with good public transport accessibility and hotels located in environmentally sensitive rural locations. i-Transport provides a range of professional witnesses who appear regularly at public inquiries to give evidence on transport, highways and infrastructure matters.
