Principal Consultant – Basingstoke

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong working knowledge of development planning (transport) and with proven project management skills. The successful candidate will offer a good record of managing and developing client relationships and will have around 5 to 10 years’ post-graduate industry experience.   As a Principal Consultant, you will take a leading role in managing the transport inputs to a number of development planning projects across the south-east, as well as assisting senior colleagues to deliver solutions on a number of strategic and exiting development opportunities.

Senior Consultant/Transport Planner – Basingstoke 

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced candidates with around one to five years’ experience in transport development planning.

Applicants should be degree qualified; have a good understanding of the principles of transport planning; good presentation and technical writing skills and the ability to manage their own time to meet project deadlines.

Senior Consultant/Transport Planner – Leeds

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced candidates with around one to five years’ experience in transport development planning.

Applicants should be degree qualified; have a good understanding of the principles of transport planning; good presentation and technical writing skills and the ability to manage their own time to meet project deadlines. Software skills should preferably include the use of ARCADY, PICADY, TRANSYT and LinSig.  Any experience using CAD would be helpful, but this is not essential.

Graduate Transport Planner –  London

We are seeking enthusiastic graduates (Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or other numerate degrees) with an interest in transport planning to assist our senior professionals in delivering development planning projects across the country. This will include:

  • Obtaining, analysing and interpreting traffic and transport data from a range of external sources.
  • Appraising development sites in terms of their accessibility by a range of transport modes.
  • Writing sections of Transport Assessment and Travel Plan reports.
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments.
  • Undertaking site visits and inputting to masterplan and junction designs.

Training on a wide range of tasks that encompass transport and development planning is also provided.

Technician / Junior Technician – Basingstoke

We are currently looking to recruit a Technician / Junior Technician to join our Basingstoke Office.

Our busy team works on a diverse range of projects and we are looking for someone to provide technical drawing support to the team on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved on a number of projects, including Residential and Mixed Use Developments.

 Key responsibilities / Duties will include:

Key to the role would be to support the transport planning team in preparing designs, plans and drawings, and input to reports. Key responsibilities/duties would include:

  • Swept path analyses;
  • Concept Junction design;
  • Parking designs/layouts;
  • Pedestrian / Cycle improvement designs;
  • Illustrator and figure work;
  • Purchasing and managing digital mapping; and
  • Procuring and analysing traffic data.

Capabilities and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic team member and will have/be:

  • At least 2 to 5 years’ experience;
  • EngTech / HNC qualification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential;
  • Good CAD skills;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Confident to liaise with all levels of management both internally and externally;
  • Work well within a team;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Computer literate in MS Office suite

The successful candidate would ideally have a working knowledge of highway design guidance including MfS, DMRB, LTN’s, TfL Guidance, and the Sustrans Design Manual.

Technical Assistant / Apprentice / School leaver – Basingstoke

We are seeking a Technical Assistant to assist on project work, covering a wide variety of tasks.  The office is located in Chineham Court Business Park, a short walk from Chineham District Centre.  The role would suit a school / college leaver with the role including:

  • Preparing technical drawings
  • Producing report illustrations
  • Collecting and analysing data
  • Carrying out online research
  • Arranging traffic surveys

Candidates should ideally have:

  • A Levels/BTEC/HNC in technical subjects, e.g. maths; sciences; engineering; design; and / or graphics, etc.
  • GCSE Maths/Science/English (C+)

Knowledge of AutoCAD and / or graphics packages is not essential, but would be an advantage.

Training in relevant software packages will be provided
